Founded in 1994 by Joan SANCHEZ MAURI and Carmen ACEDO, VIDRESIF has emerged as a leading player in the North and East of Spain in less than thirty years, thanks to industrial investments that have allowed the company to enhance its glass expertise. Over the years, the Catalan glassmaker has developed an industrial process fully consolidated at its 15,000 sqm facility in Porqueres, 25 km north of Girona, where 175,000 sqm of insulating glass is processed annually. From there, VIDRESIF manufactures and markets the most design-oriented products—thanks to its mastery of digital printing—to the most technical and large-format glasses for the architecture and construction sectors: tempered glass, laminated glass, decorative glass, solar control glass, acoustic glass, etc. The company's industrial customer portfolio extends from Catalonia, Andorra, and the Balearic Islands to the Levant.
The acquisition of the Spanish company, a few months after the acquisition of a majority stake in one of the leading companies in the Belgian market, enables RIOU GLASS to continue its international expansion and supplement its product offering, while strengthening its presence in the South of France. The group aims to achieve industrial and commercial synergies in the French and Spanish markets, fostered by value-sharing and complementary industrial know-how.
