ADVISO PARTNERS advises the shareholders of LEGOUPIL INDUSTRIE in the sale of the company to the TREUIL GROUP, supported by NORMANDIE PARTICIPATIONS, to become together a French professional building champion
10/2018

Specialised in the construction and installation of removable industrial buildings, Legoupil industrie, based in Vire (14), has merged with the Treuil Group (27), a specialist in traditional construction, with the support of their region through the Normandie Participations fund. This transaction creates a dynamic mid-cap of 400 employees in the construction business lines, and to promote the know-how developed in Normandy.

The strategic merger of the two companies and the complementarity of their activities, each of which is the French leader in their field, will enable the executives to join their common ambitions for national and international deployment.

The merger of Legoupil industrie with the Treuil Group gives a new impetus to the development of Legoupil Industrie, in particular, by speeding up growth in the offering of commercial buildings and by providing it with new business opportunities. This support is based on a complementary approach and a foundation of common values. The two entities, firmly rooted in Normandy and advocating technical excellence, intend to make a commercial venture in order to better serve their customers through a comprehensive offering.

The Treuil Group and Normandie Participations were won over by the solidity of Legoupil Industrie's business model, which generated revenue of €30 million in 2018, and by the relevance of its rental model that it offers throughout France. Since 2014, Legoupil Industrie has been majority-owned by a pool of private equity funds made up of Capitem Partenaires (lead company), Bpifrance, Picardie Investissement, Ouest croissance and Transmettre & Pérenniser.

The Treuil Group, which initially specialised in joinery and framework, has posted sustained growth since its creation in 1952, enabling it to diversify its activities. Today, it also has a concrete sector, an engineering company and a property company. With more than €65 million in revenue, the Group built the interior joinery and layout of the HYATT Hotel on Place Vendôme, of skyscrapers in the La Défense district, built several dozen public and industrial buildings, and contributed to building head offices such as SFR and Veolia.

For Gilles TREUIL, Chairman of the Group "The acquisition of Legoupil industrie is part of a strategy of combining skills and sharing knowledge that make the strength of our companies. It is also a demonstration that Normandy is able to create synergies that are positive for its companies' activities. Restoring a human dimension rooted in our regions is essential if we want to think sustainably for the future of a society". François GUISSET, Managing Director of Normandie Participations, sees above all the importance of consolidating two beautiful Normandy companies representing more than 400 jobs in France.

"The team is delighted to support the Treuil Group in this acquisition. There was a strong interest in Legoupil industrie retaining its assets in Normandy and continuing to create value in the territory. It is natural that we supported a key regional group in this investment, in a transaction that successfully tested our reactivity!"

"Legoupil industrie will benefit from great synergies thanks to this new shareholding. The Industrial solutions building adventure is just beginning!"
states Christophe KOEPPEL, CEO of Legoupil Industrie.
