ADVISO PARTNERS advises the executives of GENETECH on the Group's Capital Restructuring and the executives taking an equity stake
04/2017

The executives of GENETECH, advised by ADVISO PARTNERS, have provided for the executives taking an equity stake in a sponsorless OBO in order to support the group's future development. Thierry Delerue and his family retain the majority of the capital.

Founded in 1985 in Le Havre (76) by Thierry Delerue, the GENETECH group has become one of the leaders in the design, assembly and distribution of technological products around the world in the areas of firefighting and rescue. GENETECH is currently the leader in the fan market in France and Europe and number three worldwide. The group is one of the two French leaders in the fire hoses and nozzles market and in the foam equipment market, and is among the three global leaders in the victim search equipment market.

In 2016, GENETECH employed nearly 100 people and posted revenue of €25.7 million and EBITDA of more than €3.2 million. GENETECH is based in Octeville-sur-Mer (76) and has several foreign subsidiaries: in Germany, Austria, the United Kingdom and the United States. The group generates 75% of its revenue from exports.

The group's capital restructuring, with its managers taking an equity stake, was carried out as part of a sponsorless OBO. The shareholders of GENETECH expect significant growth in the business in the coming years, thanks in particular to a policy of sustained organic growth and targeted and selective external growth. The acquisition debt raised with BRED (underwritten) notably provides for the financing of external growth in France and abroad. A first step will be taken in the coming days with significant external growth in the United States in the fan market.
