  • 01/2020 - Adviso Partners advises Le Calvez shareholders on the group's sale to the Jacky Perrenot Group

Founded in 1902, LE CALVEZ group has developed into one of the leading providers of transport and logistics solutions in France. The Group, which is structured into four business divisions (frozen food transport and logistics, gas transport and logistics, hydrocarbon transport and poultry transport), generates turnover of nearly €110 million, employs over 1,000 people and has 540 vehicles.

Recognised for the quality it consistently delivers, with expertise acquired over more than 100 years and strong human values, LE CALVEZ has strengthened its leadership positions in all its markets: national leader in frozen food and regional leader in its other businesses.

Advised by ADVISO PARTNERS, LE CALVEZ's family and financial shareholders are selling the group's entire share capital to the JACKY PERRENOT group. The Drôme-based transport firm won LE CALVEZ's shareholders over with its strategic project drawing on the excellent fit between the groups' business and client bases, together with the potential for significant synergies and the firms' shared human values.

Having completed more than 50 acquisitions in 10 years, JACKY PERRENOT is France's third-largest transport group. It generates turnover in excess of €650 million, with nearly 5,300 employees and over 4,500 vehicles. This merger enables the Group to consolidate its position in a market that is still highly fragmented, to further diversify its business and client bases by acquiring leading positions and a high-quality brand image, and to expand its regional coverage. Thanks to this deal, JACKY PERRENOT will be able to reach its target of passing the €1 billion turnover mark by 2022.
