Founded in 1993 by Jean-Philippe MADONIA and Stéphane BERNABE, the EPSILOG group (VEGA software) publishes leading software solutions for paramedical practitioners (physiotherapists, nurses, speech therapists and orthoptists). In 2018, the group generated revenues in excess of €14 million and EBITDA of more than €5 million. With Jean JULLIEN (CEO) at the helm, the group is the second-largest independent player in the paramedical practitioner market.
Advised by ADVISO PARTNERS, on 27 December 2019 HEVANANCE and GOODWILL SYSTEMS transferred 100% of the capital of holding company MB INVEST (the sole owner of EPSILOG) to COMPUGROUP MEDICAL, following a competitive process involving investment funds and sector players. The German group's proposal won the shareholders over, thanks to the perfect fit it provides between complementary product portfolios, offering comprehensive solutions for health professionals and building an attractive service platform for future growth.
COMPUGROUP MEDICAL is one of the world's leading eHealth companies. Generating revenues of more than €717 million, its software solutions are designed to support the full range of medical and organisational activities performed across doctors' surgeries, pharmacies, laboratories and hospitals. This acquisition lifts the group to the no.1 position in France in software for independent health professionals, ahead of CEGEDIM.
"Advised by ADVISO PARTNERS throughout a perfectly orchestrated process, I've experienced an exciting, emotionally-charged human adventure. This support, crucial to the company's successful sale, enabled the best candidate to be selected with confidence, thus ensuring continuity amid a necessary process of renewal." - Jean-Philippe MADONIA, EPSILOG co-founder.
"With the acquisition of EPSILOG, CGM will now enter a new stage in its development in the French market. Care will be much easier to coordinate between health professionals using a CGM solution, especially in terms of teleconsultation and tele-expertise, where significant improvements can be achieved for both patients and health professionals." - Franck FRAYER, CGM Senior Vice President Physician Information Systems Europe.
"We are pleased to have supported the EPSILOG group's shareholders and management in this decisive step for the company's future. CGM demonstrated powerful motivation to win this competitive process." - Marc LEBRUN, Partner at ADVISO PARTNERS.
