  • 08/2019 - Adviso Partners advises Carbon Bee Agtech SAS in its 2nd fundraising

CARBON BEE AGTECH accelerates its development with NAXICAP PARTNERS and a consortium of industrial investors taking equity interests.

Created in December 2017 and based in Saint-Marcel-les-Valence (Drôme), CARBON BEE AGTECH is a high-growth technology company offering innovative agronomic imaging solutions based on artificial intelligence that facilitate the precise measurement of plant health and help to implement precision agriculture processes.

With a multidisciplinary team made up of high-calibre agronomic engineers and researchers, the company, headed by its founder Gérald GERMAIN, offers a unique solution for mapping and modulating herbicide spraying: IMPAACT. The technology used relies on robust hyperspectral sensors coupled with software processing based on Deep Learning. The solution allows users to identify plant diseases and stress, bringing:

    • time saving and enhanced efficiency in disease control and weed management,
    • a significant reduction in product doses (50% to 80%), which reduces the environmental impact and improves agricultural yields,
    • better knowledge of crop health, enabling appropriate agronomic decisions to be made.

The funds raised with NAXICAP PARTNERS and a consortium of industrial investors will enable CARBON BEE AGTECH to strengthen its equity, accelerate growth by expanding its business internationally, and consolidate its technological lead with an extensive research hub. These new investors will strengthen the company's Strategy Committee.

CARBON BEE AGTECH aims to become the leading technology player in the emerging global market for precision agriculture, which is expected to double in value to $8 billion by 2022.
