ADVISO PARTNERS advises NEWALPHA VERTO in its acquisition of OMP IT and GPI from their founders. The
merger of these two software companies will create a French leader in business software solutions for the
transport and logistics sectors.
Founded in 1985 by Thierry GARNIER and based in Cesson-Sévigné, OMP IT specialises in software for
hauliers, providing collaborative solutions for onboard telematics, transport management systems and
driver management. It serves more than 600 customers representing more than 20,000 trucks on the road.
Created by Alain ANDRE and Hervé BIRKEN and based in Craponne, GPI is a software publisher for
transport and fleet and logistics management solutions. It has a portfolio of more than 400 customers.
With a turnover of more than €18 million, the new group will offer a comprehensive package of business
solutions spanning Transport Management Systems (TMS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Fleet
Management Systems (FMS) and employee management, as well as its onboard IT solution, widely
adopted by transport & logistic players for their vehicle fleets. Moreover, thanks to its extensive offer it will
be able to target not only French transportation majors (of which 60% are already customers) but also the
particularly fast-growing segment of smaller players.
The group's revenue is growing at a steady rate of 10% per year organically, with recurring sales - already
up 17% in 2019 - accounting for 60%. The new group is also already in exclusive talks with two other
European players whose acquisitions will expand its business solutions offer and speed up its international
NEWALPHA VERTO is investing in the group alongside the founders of OMP IT and GPI and the newly
expanded management, as well as ADAXTRA CAPITAL and BPIFRANCE, which are taking minority stakes.
